Theme Name

Your theme’s name is important, and it shows up everywhere. It’s one of the few pieces of information, besides the theme image, that your user has when deciding whether or not to give your theme a try. Your theme’s name helps people find your theme, and distinguish it from other themes. And, your extension name becomes your product page URL on addons.mozilla.org.

Requirements

Minimum length: 2 characters
Maximum length: 70 characters between name and subtitle

Do This

Use descriptive words to convey what your theme looks like. For example, if it’s an autumn theme, include the word “autumn” in your name.
Distinguish it from other themes that fall into the same genre as yours by being more specific. To distinguish your autumn theme from other autumn themes, go a step farther in your details with something like “Autumn Leaves.”
Include color where appropriate since many people search by color. So, you might make your name, “Red Autumn Leaves.”
Make it unique: There may be a lot of similar themes out there. Make yours stand out with descriptors. For example, “Savage Black Kitten” is more memorable than “Black Kitten” (a name the author uses ironically...the kitten is actually quite sweet).
Keep it short—it will display better on small screens, and it’s easier to remember.
Incorporate keywords that someone might use to search for your theme. But keep it natural—forcing keywords won’t improve search rankings or compel potential users.

To determine your keywords, think about what words a person searching for a theme like yours might type into a search field. For example, what words would someone use when searching for a summery theme?

Not This

Don’t make it difficult to read or say, like “Trlybeauutiful Autumn.”
Don’t include “Firefox” or “Mozilla.”
