A picture is worth one-thousand words, and when users aren’t willing to read one-thousand words online, it’s to your benefit to provide great product imagery. Visuals can help people learn about and remember your extension, making installation decisions easier. Extension images are also featured prominently on your product page.
In a 2018 addons.mozilla.org survey of 7,000+ users, about one-third considered the extension’s screenshots when making a decision whether or not to install.
For example, if your extension blocks ads, show what the user will see when an extension blocks an ad, including any scorecards that track number of ads blocked.
