VET

Vocational Education & Training (VET) subjects can count toward a VCE or VCAL certificate and are a great option for students who want to get some practical experience in an area of passion or a head start in their future learning.

Students applying for a VET subject must be aged 15+ by the end of term one in the academic year of enrollment.


Certificate II in Sport & Recreation

Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the multi-skilled role of individuals in operational and customer support positions in the sport or community recreation industry. These individuals are competent in a range of activities and functions requiring autonomous work within a defined range of situations and environments. They work in locations such as fitness centres, sporting grounds or complexes, leisure and aquatic centres and community recreation centres.

VET Music

Qualification Description

Certificate II in Music provides students with the knowledge and skills that will enhance their employment prospects in the music industry. With additional training and experience, future employment outcomes may include professional musician, sound or studio engineer, writer or arranger, sales and merchandising personnel. On successful completion of this VCE VET program, students are eligible for the award of CUS20109 Certificate II in Music and  recognition of up to four units at Units 1 and 2 level.

Pathways: Students may then move onto Certificate III Music Production, which is a scored VET and contributes to a student’s ATAR.
