Here at MAC we offer over 100 subjects and choosing the right one for you can be challenging. This handbook is designed to help you to make the best decision for your learning. Each learning area has its own page which sets out the pathways for learning as well as the Entry, Above Entry and VCE subject offerings. At each stage you will have a growing number of options available (see the prerequisites below). Students are supported in their decision making with an extensive course counselling process. Students may not repeat an elective unless it is noted in the description, nor can they complete more than three subjects in the same subject area in the same year, so it's important that students think about their preferences long term.
Within each area there is a broad range of subjects to choose from. You have several years to experience the range that interests you. Read the descriptions closely, talk them over with your family and consider your past and future pathways. Decide on a course of study that is going to best suit your needs.
