unit 1: area and surface area reflection
In unit 1 we learned how to decompose shapes and how to solve surface area, we also learned how to find a triangles area, and we learned about prisoms, pyramids, and polyhedrons.
Unit one was all about finding area of different shapes even if that shape was broken up into multiple parts, for example we could divide a shape into multiple parts, the could be squares, rectangles, or triangles, after that we would find the area of all those shapes and add them together to get the area of the original shape, the learning target for this unit was: “I am able to deconstruct and construct shapes to find the area using formulas and perimeter.” I Met this learning target because I made sure I was paying attention in class so I could learn the formulas, equations, and strategies I needed to use to solve this kind of problem. I think that in the future I can pay more attention to the question that way I know what it is asking.

In my unit 1 assessment I got a ¾, and I got 2 questions wrong. The first question I got wrong was asking if one square had more surface area than the other, I got it wrong because I did not read thoroughly, so I thought it said area, and if it did, then it would have the same area, so I read it wrong and thought it said area, so I said, yes, it does, and that's how I got it wrong. I got the second one wrong because I did not think mathematically, and I said that the shape was a slope-prison, but that was wrong, because even though it was a slope, that was not what it was asking, the correct answer was, a triangular prison.

In this unit, we are learning about a ratios relationship between types of quantities, and we will be learning about the difference between rates, ratios, and proportions
The Unit two learning target was all about “rates, ratios, and percents, and how they are all related, we also learned how to solve problems with tables, double number lines, triple number lines, and the cross multiply and divide method.” I met this learning target because I made sure that when I was doing the assessment when I was reading I was reading thoroughly. In the future I can make sure I refine my work before I turn it in.

On this exit ticket I got 4/5 questions correct, I did not get the challenge one correct because I did not have enough time to finish it, and because I could not understand it very well, I think I could have done better because there is always room for improvement, and because I know that if I kept working on it I could have gotten it correct.

On this quiz I got all the questions correct and I used the method on all of them, but I think that I should pay more attention in school because while we were learning about the method.

In this assessment I got 8 of the 9 questions correct originally but then I refined and got all 9 correct, I got one wrong because I didn't read thoroughly and I used the wrong number, I also chose not to do the 2 challenge problems. I definitely grew in this one and I have definitely learned a lot about this unit.

on this assessment i got a meets and missed two problems, the first one i missed was a human error and it was about drawing the line through a graph, I said that it did not go straight through all of the points but that was because I drew the line a little off. the second one i got wrong because it was asking me to label the axes, and I did y and x instead of O and V, which were the variables.
