I got an Exceeds on the oral grade and a meets plus on the prep sheet grade. The Socratic seminar was about the book just mercy and the injustices. My goal for the next seminar is to cite more evidence.

In this TED talk project we got to read a book about injustice and choose our own world wide injustice to make a TED talk about. I got an exeeds overall on this project which I am very proud of because of the amount of effort I put into this. 

Every week we do a Socratic seminar or a vocab quiz.

We did a simulation where we acted as different historical figures that were present during the constitutional convention. We learned about what each person thought about different issues.   

We are reading about Kit Carson and the American west during westward expansion. I have learned an extreme amount about westward expatiation during this project. 

This is an essay we wrote on a controversial topic of rights. I choose Animal rights and why we should give them the rights they deserve. 

We did a mock trial regarding Kit Carson and his champions across the American west. The goals of this project was to improve our understanding of the justice system and how courts work by participating in a mock trial. We also increased our comprehension of literature by reading blood and thunder for this project. I grew by understanding that sometimes the lines between orders and murder can be very thin, I encountered the challenge of  making a case that proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Kit Carson committed these crimes. I learned that the law can sometimes be confusing about what constitutes a crime of a certain kind. I learned that I can be confident yet augmentative when it comes to a mock trial. I would give myself a meets + overall for this project because I showed understanding and confidence throughout the trial. My goals to improve are putting more time and effort into my research in order to make a more well rounded informational statement.
