Unit 1
Scale
Learning Targets
I can draw construct, and describe geometrical figures and describe the relationships between them
I can solve real-life and mathematical problems involving area of quadrilaterals.
Unit 2
Ratios
Learning Targets
I can analyze proportional relationships and use them to solve real-world and mathematical problems.
I can identify the independent and dependent variables for a set of data, put these values into a table and plot the values on a graph. I can then write a linear formula to describe trends in the data.
Unit 3
Circles
Learning Targets
I can solve real-life and mathematical problems involving perimeter and area.
I can calculate pi by comparing the radius, diameter and circumference of a circle.
I can use pi to calculate the radius, diameter, circumference and area of a circle.
Unit 4
Rates & Percentages
Learning Targets
I can calculate percentage using multiple strategies
I can compare ratios and percentages using cross multiplication
I can calculate discounts, mark-ups, commission, taxes, tips and interest
IXL Diagnostic 10/21/21
SLC - This is my IXL diagnostic. Right now. We do at least 15 minutes of it a week. My goal in math is to get better at measurement, geometry, and fractions because these are my lowest scores.
REFLECTION NOW - We still do some IXL occasionally but not much. To be honest, I haven't really done anything to up my scores. We've been focusing on our projects and the units.
For this project we measured a bunch of objects, found their circumference, radius, and diameter. After that, we found the constant of proportionality.

We did our percent project in class and we asked everyone in our class what they prefer about something. For example, one of my questions that I asked was, Do you prefer Salt and Vinegar chips, BBQ chips, or neither?
