Let's look closer at some of the images which have been found inside caves.
Look at how easy it is to draw some of them. Which would you like to use in your art?
We are going to create some beautiful cave art work just like these that other children from Moorpark produced. Are you ready?
This is what we are going to do and use .
1 Firstly, look carefully at the photos and think about what you want to use in your drawings, where you want to put them on the paper and how large or small they should be You can practice using copy paper and pencil, and then decide which you like best.
Next, you are going to draw the pictures that you chose onto the brown paper given to you. Draw as many as you like .
Then, using a black marker pen, go over your pencil lines. Use some thick and thin lines. You can colour in some figures and leave others open.
After using the pen, you are going to carefully go around the pen lines (not over them) using a thin paintbrush and white emulsion paint. Take care not to get this onto your clothes. Wear an apron and roll up your sleeves.
Finally, when your paint is dry, you can go over any black lines that have paint on them, before using the ink to wash over your paper. You can choose one colour or blend them .
