Our staff are highly praised for their professionalism and caring attributes that allow us as a team to provide our premium, bespoke caring package for every resident. Every member of our team has been trained appropriately and provides a warm and friendly service that makes our atmosphere incredibly welcoming, warm and friendly.
Always listening.
We understand that it is important that we are always thinking of ways to improve. Therefore, we regularly consult our residents and relatives using surveys so we can gauge the satisfaction of service across the care home. This has allowed us to improve some of the aspects of our package such as catering (including new digital and visual menus) and activities. Recent surveys have suggested that our service is incredibly satisfactory for both residents and relatives.
Activities package.
We are always looking for new trips and packages at Moorland View and our colleagues make great efforts to theme our care home with decorations and organise events for our residents. Recently, we have restarted to more regular frequencies of events such as our popular concerts and fitness therapy sessions.

We are leaders in digital innovation for social care in Blackburn and Darwen. At Moorland View, we know that it is important to keep ahead of the ball and always innovate. We are pioneers in technology for care homes in the Blackburn and Darwen area and usually have the most modern methods and technologies which enhance our care offer for residents resulting in a better resident experience and technology aids our colleagues in delivering this.
A couple of our achievements are listed below:
We are the first and only care home in Darwen to incorporate proxy medication ordering to allow colleagues to order prescriptions from company devices, saving time spent on hold to GP surgeries.
We use the most modern tools and systems, such as Google Workspace and CareDocs, to carry out our work efficiently.
We were one of the first sign-ups to pilots during the Covid-19 pandemic to digital initiatives with the NHS and still carry out some of those initiatives, such as virtual ward round updates.
