Health & Safety
Medications
Occasionally, students require medications for a variety of reasons throughout the school day. With the appropriate paperwork, signed by both the physician and the parents/guardians, the school nurse may administer medication. All medications must be delivered to the school by an adult and given to a designated staff member. Students may not carry, transport, or self-administer medication in school.
If your child will require medication at school, please contact Mrs. Dugan, our school nurse, to discuss and obtain the necessary forms.

Memorial School Safety Reminders
All visitors must have a prearranged appointment with a staff member prior to arriving at school. Visitors should only be in the building for school related business. All visitors are required to sign in at the main office and wear an identification tag before leaving the main office.
After school activities such as Girl Scouts, Kids Club and other extra curricular programs will be dismissed at the Community Entrance. Parents who are picking up from these activities should park on Memorial Drive.
The front of Memorial School is for MCC parents, school buses, and Memorial Staff only. Due to the ongoing construction, there are no visitor spaces in the front lot. All visitors must park on Memorial Drive and ring the bell at the Community Entrance.
If a parent or guardian needs to bring an item or lunch for their child, they will not be allowed into the school building. In front of the school, under the overhang, there is a cart with five clear plastic storage bins. Each bin is labeled with a specific grade. Please make sure that your child’s name is on that item, place the item into the bin, and put the lid back on the bin. A staff member will go outside and retrieve the bin at lunchtime and at 2:00 p.m.
If there is a change in your child’s normal dismissal plans, please be sure to update the PikMyKid App no later than 2:30 p.m.
