Arrival/Dismissal

GENERAL REMINDERS:

• All cars should park on Memorial Drive for arrival and dismissal.  The front lot is for staff and school buses ONLY. 

• Morning supervision begins at 8:25 a.m.  Please remain with your child if you arrive at school before that time.

• It will be helpful after the first few days of school to know your child's homeroom number.  Please use this list of homeroom numbers to help with lineup and pickup (especially for students in grades K-2).

ARRIVAL:

Pre-K (a.m.)  - Community Entrance

Pre-K (p.m.) - Front silver doors near preschool wing.

Kindergarten- Please refer to the "First Days" page of the Kindergarten Welcome Center that was previously shared.  For the first 2 days of school, Kindergarten students will enter through the rear gym doors.  Then, students will enter through the Kindergarten Annex doors for the remainder of the school year.

Grades 1 & 2- Students arriving to school should wait on the blacktop near the Community Entrance and enter school at the Community Entrance at 8:40 a.m.  Students will line-up with their classmates at their homeroom teacher's name and number painted on the blacktop. This procedure will begin on the first day of school.

Grades 3 & 4 - Students arriving to school should wait on the blacktop between the 3rd and 4th grade wings and enter through their classroom doors at 8:40 a.m.  Students will line-up at their classroom’s exterior door. This procedure will begin on the first day of school.

*Staff members will be in all these locations to help guide students 

DISMISSAL:   Teachers will communicate any change to the below locations, if needed, during the school year. 

Please see the information below and reference the map to locate where to pick up your child at the end of the school day.  Please note that the main front entrance of the school is not a pickup location for any grade during regular school dismissal.

Pre-K AM: Dismissal is through the silver front doors near the pre-K wing

Pre-K PM: Dismissal is from the Community Entrance 

Kindergarten:

Ms. Vasoll, Ms. Wynkoop, and Ms. Diore/Mrs. McCarthy dismiss from the Kindergarten Annex doors next to the playground

Mrs. Iida, Mrs. Neville, Mrs. Bizzoco, & Mrs. Silver dismiss from their exterior classroom doors

Grade 1:

Grade 1 dismisses from the Community Entrance

Grade 2:

Mrs. Matesic, Mrs. DeRisi/Ms. Sims and Mrs. Burkel dismiss from the exterior doors adjacent to the Nurse’s office, Door # 6

Mrs. McLaughlin, Mrs. Giannone, and Ms. Cortazzo dismiss from their exterior classroom doors down the Kinder path, along the wall towards the new wing. 

Grade 3:

Students are dismissed from the exterior classroom doors (same as morning lineup location)

Grade 4:

Students are dismissed from the exterior classroom doors by the 4th grade blacktop (same as morning lineup location)
