Welcome to Online Learning! This is new for me too, so please don't hesitate to check in with me if you need help.
Please always start with Google Classroom. You should be able to click on the bar above. Everyone in the class have been invited but if you have not "accepted" you will need to do that first. Use your school Google account, and the code n4uf2uj. You can also search through "Classroom.Google.com" and enter the code n4uf2uj when prompted. (Study Island will be easier for you if you do this lesson first). I will post the Classwork/Assignment for each week there. All the directions will be there as well. We can share our thoughts and ideas and comments there in an online class stream. Lessons will be under "Classwork."
Please be sure use the Class Comments section in "Classwork" to let me know when you have completed a lesson, as well as any comments you have for the class, or for me. I care about what you think. I like hearing from you. When you submit a Google doc. I will make comments right on that document, when I am finished reading it. Links, forms, directions, and other helps all will be found on Google Classroom.
Read, read, read! Please read for at least 20 minutes a day from whatever you like. Then let us know on Google Classroom what you are reading. I buy used books online from "Betterworld Books.com," and they offer free shipping. You can read while your siblings or parents are having a turn on the computer, or find an online book (A Long Walk To Water read aloud is online on YouTube) that is being read aloud, and listen with your siblings. Read, read, read!
Write, write, write! Find a notebook, or use a computer, but write everyday. You are living history right now, and writing is a great way to get your thoughts and feelings down on paper.
