Carter students, welcome to the Specials Virtual Computer page. On this page, you will find tabs for computer activities and tutorials to explore. Some of the tabs are sites you are familiar with and some will take you to new sites. Some of the tabs are for lower grades and some are for upper grades. If you were using digital tools, those tabs will allow you to use your computer to design, draw, and create like we were doing in class. If you have Paint or Paint 3D on a Windows computer, that would be another design app to try. Some of the tabs are for new coding activities we will be trying. You can try them, but I will have updates and lessons for those coding activities. You can also try keyboarding practice activities to keep your skills sharp. There some activities you have done and a new one with Dance Mat Typing. There is a blank template to print and fill out the keys with or without looking. There are videos to help you with the new animate app on abcya for 3rd graders. And there is another robot maker app activity to also try for K - 2nd graders. I included a video tutorial on how to download chrome if you need it on a windows pc. Get help from an adult to add this. You can also try some of the online safety activities. Review the Be Smart poster and then maybe make one of your own cyber safety poster and email and share it.
I hope you are all safe and well. This page will be updated, so please come to this page to continue to learn computer skills from home using these tabs. Please email any questions you may have or any pictures or projects you have done. I would love to see them. Have a good week on Montrose Virtual.
