Shockingly, the little caterpillar formed a chrysalis just hanging in some silk near the side of the cup.
The chrysalis is incredibly small and seems to be a little mutated at the bottom. The silk is attached to a q-tip.
Now we hope for the best with how they emerge. Hopefully, they all come out as healthy butterflies. You never know how a butterfly will emerge though. It is similar to a baby being born. Sometimes a baby enters the world with some health problems.
These final two ladybugs haven't moved in like 16 hours. They should be ready to pupate very soon. You can see this one positioned upside-down. The little button at the top is reminiscent of the silk button the caterpillars make when ready to hang in their chrysalis.
Ready to make it 4 pupae at the top of the volcano drinking spot.
