Look at the specks on the dome. I am wondering if they are evidence of going to the bathroom.

Ladybug Observation April 22Not too active today. Just moseying around a little. They may be getting ready for the pupa stage.
There is no caterpillar footage today. I am going to try to catch the other J-shaped caterpillars turning into their chrysalis tomorrow. I probably won't though, unless I left the webcam on all day. I have only seen it happen once in person. After school one day at about 5 o'clock, I happened to just check on the caterpillars and saw it happen. It was amazing. They don't wrap themselves in a silk cocoon. Instead, they do a final molt, and the chrysalis sort up just appears as they do it. It happens suddenly and quickly. This isn't one of our caterpillars, but this is what it looks like. I found this on Youtube.
