Healthy Dining Out
Many may perceive eating home-cooked meals as healthy eating, however, dining out does not always equate unhealthy eating. Dining out is a great way to acculturate to your new home and socialise with friends.
Here are some handy tips to help you feel just as good about fancy dining out as dining in:
Order entrée-sized meals or request for smaller portion sizes
Share meals with friends or colleagues
Opt for lean meat, poultry, fish or seafood options
Request for sauces or dressings on the side
Choose water as a beverage option
Choose dishes that incorporate vegetables or order a side salad with your meal
