Nyah, a member of my Regents Geometry class, always brings a smile and exceptional positive energy to our classroom. She has a strong work ethic and she holds herself accountable to a high academic standard. However, one of her most exceptional qualities is her ability to relate to and support her classmates. Nyah’s patience, explanations, and connections with her classmates are tremendous. She takes pride in their success and growth just like her own. Nyah’s actions set the tone for a great classroom environment, which makes her a role model for students throughout the building.

Keria is a first year Media Arts and Live Production student that has embraced the program and works diligently to represent the class and our community with pride. Keira is able to create and construct a dynamic variety of media productions. She has created informational videos that have included recorded interviews with Mollie Collins, the Rotterdam Town Supervisor, and Wade Abbott, the President of the Mohonasen Board of Education. She contacted, arranged, and structured those projects with maturity and professionalism. She is also fiercely creative in her use of creative effects going above and beyond expectations entertaining us with satirical dramas featuring her pets and emotive shorts that elicit a joyous response. We are all proud of our teammate Keira.

Hassan is hands down one of the hardest working students in US History this year. He is consistently prepared, well organized, and his participation in class discussions has continued to grow throughout the year. His growth as a student and a young man is applaudable and I can’t wait to see what he will do next. In the second half of the year his creativity and enthusiasm will help him be successful on our big class projects. I have no doubt Hassan will do well on the Regents exam if he keeps up his dedication!
