The themes for 2024’s Design Competition are 'Making a difference…'.
(1) ... starting with me and (2) ...that endures across time.
However we will only be focusing on the first one.
(1) ... starting with me invites participants to envision the diverse roles individuals can play in organ donation and transplantation. These roles extend far beyond the literal act of donating an organ. For instance, an individual can (i) take on the responsibility of advocating for organ donation within their social circle; and (ii) initiate ground-up efforts that engage the broader community, forming a strong and multi-faceted pillar of support for patients with organ failure.
Thomas' story is inspired by true events. Help someone live on by supporting organ donation
and sharing this story with someone else.

Artwork Title: The Heart of Strawberries
ARTIST STATEMENT
This work signifies the past and present of a patient with heart disease. The damaged heart changing into a rotten strawberry shows the harmful part of its life. A hand donating a new strawberry and putting it in the machine makes a difference to people's lives. This part symbolises the process of going for a surgery. The water surrounding the heart shows the healing process after surgery.
