Splashing out traditional games in Singapore
This art work shows a Merlion splashing out traditional toys instead of water. I decided to combine the Merlion and the traditional games that were being played in the past in Singapore to show what games people in Singapore played in the past in this manner..
Singapore
Small Island, Multinational Country
A Nation with Fun
I tried to showcase popular parts of singaporean culture such as the chicken rice, and featured our football team as football is our national sport. I decided to go with bright colours as the things i drew reminded me of fun! Football is a fun sport and chicken rice as i always have fun dumping a full bottle of soy sauce on it as my mother watch in horror.
Happy Birthday Singapore
I made a fully grey coloured NFT to show the early years of Singapore. I chose hippo as my character in my NFTs as I wanted to use an animal from the Singapore Zoo to be my character. I have decided to show Singapore in this manner to show how far Singapore has come as a country.
We pop together
This is about all races of singapore coming together as one. I decided to show in this cute manner.
Different generations in the same world
“Equality with a drop of retroness”
This artwork is about Singapore being a multiracial country. Singapore is a small country made up of different people with different races and age group but i feel that Singaporeans sympathize with foods that we all grew up with.
Singapore local foods
I decided to draw Singapore’s local foods as it is one of the reason why Singapore is popular, and many tourists came to singapore for the food. The 4 food that I drew are some of the famous food in Singapore.
Pinky Way
These are the iconic places of Singapore. I chose the colour pink as the main colour in my artwork, as it represents harmony and inner peace, just like Singapore's unity between different races and religions. The colour can also be depicted as love, so it's to show that we should ove our environment and respect the people around us. It's also a cheery colour to look at aside from the complicated meanings!
Singaporean Foodies
My work is about the different type of food that Singaporean mainly love like the fish ball noodles, chicken rice, rojak and lastly, ice kachang. I deceived to show in this manner as I think singaporean meals are one of the main reason we are where we are now which is united
the Singaporean breakfast
This artwork is based off one of Singapore’s popular Kaya toast and kopi. I decided to show singapore in this manner as in the early mornings, when i go to any kopitiam, I'd see many people from different backgrounds and cultures eating kaya toast for breakfast. This shows that despite differences we have as Singaporeans, we still enjoy the same things which makes us united as one.
