Charging Locker Etiquette Guidelines for Students
1. Locker Usage Time Limits
§ Maximum Charging Time: Each student is allowed to use the locker for a maximum of 1 hour to ensure availability for others.
§ Fair Access: Avoid keeping your device in the locker for extended periods during the day.
§ No Overnight Charging: Devices should not be left in lockers overnight. Lockers must be cleared by the end of the day.
2. Monitor Your Device
§ Check Regularly: Check your device at reasonable intervals and remove it as soon as it's charged to allow others to use the locker.
§ Prompt Removal: Once charging is complete, remove your device within 10 minutes to prevent blocking others from using the locker.
3. Locker Security
§ Do Not Share Locker Codes: For your own security, do not share your locker code or key with others. Keep your combination or key private.
§ Personal Responsibility: You are responsible for your belongings. The school is not liable for lost or stolen items left in lockers.
§ No Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to access or tamper with others’ lockers.
4. Locker Assignment and Availability
§ One Locker Per Person: Only use one locker at a time to ensure fair access for all students.
§ No Reserving Lockers: Do not use items to "reserve" a locker for future use.
5. No Storing Non-Charging Items
§ Charging Use Only: Lockers are only to be used for charging devices (laptops, tablets, phones). Personal items such as books, bags, or other belongings should not be stored in the lockers.
6. Respect School Property
§ Keep Lockers Clean: Please do not leave food, liquids, or trash in the lockers. Remove all personal items and clean up any messes before leaving.
§ Report Issues: If you notice any damage to the lockers or if a locker is malfunctioning, report it to school staff immediately.
7. Fair Use During Peak Times
§ Limit Use During Busy Periods: If the charging lockers are in high demand, limit your use to 30 minutes to ensure others have access.
8. No Overnight Charging or Storage
§ Clear Lockers by End of Day: Devices or personal items must not be left in lockers overnight. Lockers should be emptied at the end of each school day.
9. Enforcement of Rules
§ Consequences for Misuse: Failure to follow these guidelines may result in loss of locker privileges or other disciplinary actions.
§ Staff Monitoring: School staff may monitor locker use and intervene if there are violations of these rules.
By following these guidelines, you’ll help ensure that the charging lockers remain accessible and secure for all students.
