From growing your own plants to creating fun toys using recyclables, our Shuqunites have shown that there are a myriad of ways to save the environment. Their environmentally friendly efforts were showcased in Shuqun’s 95th Anniversary Eco-Challenge, conducted in July 2020.
The Eco-Challenge was organised in conjunction with Shuqun’s 95th anniversary celebrations, with the aim of instilling in our Shuqunites a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Students were tasked to submit evidences of their environmentally friendly practices at home. These could range from simple everyday actions to big projects, all in the name of saving the environment.
While the primary one to primary three students drew pictures of their earth-friendly actions on paper, the primary four to primary six students submitted photographs and videos of their efforts through the Student Learning Space (SLS) portal.
The response for the challenge was very encouraging. From the many submissions received, it is clear that our students and their families are committed to playing their part to save the environment.
We hope that all Shuqunites will continue to practise environmentally friendly habits in their daily lives, as well as explore new ways to help save the environment.
