Programme Structure

The DoTS Programme Journey

Students can choose to pursue their DoTS journey within one of the following subject disciplines: English Language, Mother Tongue, Humanities, Science. Mathematics, Aesthetics (Art or Music) or Sports.

Secondary 2: Committed Participation

Your journey begins with a foundation of exploration and commitment. In Secondary 2, students commit to one full year in their chosen DoTS programme. During this time, you will dive deeper into your chosen subject area, developing your passions, building foundational skills, and learning what it means to apply your knowledge to benefit others.

Secondary 3: Progression Pathways

In Secondary 3, the DoTS programme transitions to focus on leadership, self-directed learning, and innovation. Students choose one of two distinct pathways to continue their growth:

• Option 1: Continue as a Mentor to deepen your expertise and give back to the school community through peer leadership. You will co-plan and lead DoTS activities for the incoming Secondary 2 cohort. You will need to fulfill a 40-hour requirement spread over 1 to 2 terms.

• Option 2: Stretch your potential by self-directing your learning and leading an innovative project. You will need to submit an Individualised Growth Proposal, detailing clear learning goals, a proposed Glow-level contribution, and a timeline with specific deliverables. You will have to commit to a minimum of 40 hours for this personal project. Proposals will be vetted by the subject teachers. If approved, you will be assigned a dedicated teacher mentor for guidance, regular check-ins, and verification of your NYAA records.
