1. When do I sign up for the DoTS Programme?
For Sec 1 students, recruitment for the DoTS Programme is from Term 3 Week 9 to Week 10.
For Sec 2 students who are already part of the DoTS Programme, you will be asked to indicate if you would like to continue as mentors or embark on an individualised growth plan in Term 4. This commitment will contribute towards fulfilling the Service Learning component under NYAA.
2. How do I sign up for the DoTS Programme?

3. I have already signed up for a subject, can I change it?
Once you have signed up and are selected, you are required to commit to that programme.
4. Is it compulsory to sign up for a DoTS programme?
It is optional to sign up for the DoTS Programme. DoTS programmes are opportunities for students who are keen to develop their areas of interest and learn how they can use their talent to help others.
5. If I am not good at an area but is interested, can I still sign up for it?
Yes! Developing your talent begins with you being curious and interested in something.
1. What LEAPS points can we attain if we participate in DoTS activities?
Workshops and similar activities will be recorded under ENRICHMENT.
If you are selected to represent the school in a competition (e.g. Model United Nations), you will obtain points for ACHIEVEMENT.
For GLOW activities, you will be awarded SERVICE hours.
2. Where will my participation in DoTS activities be reflected?
Your participation in DoTS activities will be reflected in your CCA certificate, as well as in the testimonial that you will receive when you graduate from SMS(S).

2. What is the difference between the Music DoTS Programme and Music Elective Programme (MEP)?
For the Music DoTS Programme, your participation takes the form of enrichment and service learning.
For MEP, you will be learning Music as an O-level examination subject.
3. Is there a specific day set aside for DoTS programme activities?
Wednesdays have been set aside for DoTS programme activities, but some activities/competitions may require more commitment.
1. How long must I commit to the DoTS Programme?
For Secondary 1 students, you will officially start in your assigned DoTS Programme at the beginning of Secondary 2. The commitment period is one year.
For Secondary 3 students, you will fulfill your commitment for the full duration of the DoTS Programme you signed up for as mentors, or for as long as your self-initiated individualised growth plan lasts.
2. How many days in a week will I be expected to set aside for the DoTS Programme?
DoTS activities are usually scheduled for Wednesdays, but some activities may require more commitment.
Activities do not run continuously throughout the entire year. Schedules depend on the specific DoTS programme. Please check with the teacher-in-charge of the respective DoTS Programmes for details.
