Selection of Students into TDP
The SAJC Talent Development Programme recognises students who show strong academic potential, purposeful leadership, and a commitment to serving others. Selected students demonstrate integrity, resilience, and initiative, seeking to develop their talents in ways that reflect the College’s values and contribute meaningfully to the community.
Selection Process
Students may be selected for the SAJC Talent Development Programme through a combination of the following:
Personal Write-Up
A short reflection where students share their interests, strengths, leadership experiences, and why they would like to be part of the programme.
Teacher Recommendation
Teachers may nominate students who show strong potential, good character, and a positive attitude towards learning and service.
Interview / Chat with Teachers
A short conversation to better understand students’ goals, values, and readiness to grow as leaders.
School Contributions
Students’ academic effort, CCA participation, leadership roles, discipline, learning dispositions and contributions to the College community may also be considered.
Sustained Development
Students who are successfully placed in TDP will be mentored by teachers in the TDP Committee.
Students who are unable to maintain the established standards of TDP in the areas of academic progress, CCA participation, discipline, learning dispositions and contributions to TDP may be asked to exit from the Talent Development Programme.
Students who have shown sustained growth and development and met the established standards of TDP will successfully graduate from TDP at the end of JC2.
