•use to-infinitive to report commands.

What is to-infinitive? 

• The infinitive is the base form of the verb, that is used after the word ‘to’.

Examples:

John was told to sit down.

The little boy asked me to carry his bag for him.

How to-infinitive is used to report commands 

• Subject, object and saying verb remain the same.

• Place action verb after “to” using the correct form.

• Change pronouns as necessary.
