Schools will progressively roll out IT applications that will be vital for students’ teaching and learning through this programme.
These include:
Student Learning Space: MOE's core platform for teaching and learning and is one of MOE’s key initiatives to transform the learning experiences of Singaporean students.
Student iCON (Google Workspace): Every secondary school student will be provided with access to the Google Suite set of tools, including email address.
Microsoft 365 Pro Plus: Every secondary school student will be able to use Microsoft Office tools that include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Students can use their MIMS (Student iCON) account to download and activate the Office 365 ProPlus apps on their personal devices (non-Chromebooks). The links to download Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus apps on Windows and Mac personal devices have since been updated. The Office 365 Pro Plus apps can be downloaded and activated on personal devices via the following links:
Mac devices: https://go.gov.sg/mac-office-install
Windows devices: https://go.gov.sg/win-office-install
Please refer to the following updated Student Guide for more details and FAQs:
Microsoft had ceased support for Office 365 apps on Chromebook in 2021. However, the student can access Microsoft online instead.
From Monday, 30 March 2026, students from Secondary 3 and above will be able to access it through the NotebookLM website (https://notebooklm.google) using their Student iCON accounts.
This SLS module [go.gov.sg/notebooklmforstudents] will guide students to effectively learn with Notebook LM. Students are strongly encouraged to complete it before using NotebookLM.
