The COVID-19 situation wasn't all bad. It gave us a new dimension to our CCA experiences. Say "Hello" to eCCA!
Flavour – of different CCA
Family – Reconnecting with Teachers, Instructors and Friends
Fun – Enjoying the journey
Full Safety – Safety Precautions for students
Flexibility – Activities are not fixed and we can use students ideas for eCCAs. Where appropriate, students ideas will help make eCCA more vibrant.
Video-Conferencing (synchronous) and Practice Activities (asynchronous)
eCCAs will use Padlet as our central online platform. However, Northland leverages other applications like Google Classroom, Peardeck and SLS.
eCCA is conducted on Fridays and sessions will have a 1 hour Video-Conference and some Practice Activity of up to 2 hours
Parents are updated about eCCA through letters and via electronic means (Parent Gateway, School Website, CCA Padlet Bulletin Boards).
eCCA is important for the Holistic Development of Students and strong LEAPS Levels of Attainment. The school will provide parents a report of students' CCA & eCCA participation at the end of the year.
DON’T MISS eCCAs
As eCCA is compulsory, students who miss eCCA activities face the same consequences as those missing in-person CCA.
Ensure that you are part of your CCA group's WhatsApp chat, or that you are in contact with your CCA student leaders.
This will ensure that you will be informed of the latest instructions from your CCA teachers or student leaders.
Join eCCA activities from your home at 2.30pm every Friday.
Your Teacher will give you instructions of what to prepare before the online meeting through your CCA’s online bulletin board (Padlet).
These may include links to the online meeting, a list of Equipment/Items to have on hand or Topics that you will be asked to share about
