About Us:
At the STEAM Interest Group, we are passionate advocates for fostering interdisciplinary learning and innovation through the fusion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). We contribute to the college's STEAM programme through empowering self and others with the relevant skills and knowledge, and facilitating the cross sharing of ideas for innovation and research.ย
What We Do:
๐ Exploration and Discovery: Learn beyond the curriculum and see the real-world connections of STEAM through research, hands-on projects, experiments, interactive experiences.ย
๐ค Collaborative Learning: Connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for STEAM. The interest group provides a supportive community where members can collaborate on projects, exchange ideas, and learn from each other's diverse perspectives.
๐ฑ Skill Development of others: Initiate and facilitate STEAM-related enrichment activities (e.g. micro:bit, 3D design, engineering challenge) for fellow studentsย
๐ STEAM Day: Conceptualise and organise STEAM Day for showcase of STEAM research and innovation projects and connect with professional world of STEAM through guest speakers, industry tours, and networking opportunities๐ย

In 2024, the Science Interest Groups, joined forces with the Arts and Social Sciences Interest Programme to establish the STEAM Interest Group. This strategic amalgamation stems from a profound recognition of the interconnectedness of diverse disciplines. The formation of STEAM is rooted in the collective vision to equip students with a comprehensive skill set, blending technical proficiency from the sciences with the creative thinking fostered by arts and social sciences. This innovative approach aims to prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving world, where the fusion of analytical prowess and imaginative thinking is increasingly prized.
