As digital technology is becoming increasingly pervasive in jobs, workplaces and society, there is a need to make digital learning inclusive by equipping students with digital literacies.
Launched in March 2020, the NDLP aims to equip our students with Digital Literacies to better enable our students, at different stages of their education journey, to acquire the digital skills required to navigate the digital age through four mutually reinforcing components in the ‘Find, Think, Apply and Create’ framework.
Through the NDLP, all secondary school students will own a school-prescribed Personal Learning Device (PLD) by end 2021, Singapore Citizen students can use their Edusave Account to pay for the PLD.
This device will be used to facilitate an environment that encourages personalised learning. For more information on PDLP Procurement, DMA and other matters, please go to our school website: https://chungchenghighmain.moe.edu.sg/ndlp/

The Personal Learning Device (PLD) will be used in tandem with the national e-learning platform - the Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS) as well as other educational technology to personalise and enhance students’ learning.
The use of the personal learning device for teaching and learning aims to:
Support the development of digital literacies
Students will learn digital skills such as gathering and evaluating information online, interacting with the online community, and creating digital products.
Support self-directed and collaborative learning
Students can access digital resources on their own to acquire knowledge about a topic of their interest beyond the curriculum. They can also share and build on one another’s ideas, and refine their own understanding.
Enhance Teaching & Learning
1:1 learning environment allows teachers and students to harness technology for greater effectiveness in teaching. For example, instructions, activities and feedback for each student could be more tailored and relevant to students’ learning needs.
