School Internal Assessment (e-Timed Practice, e-Assessment)
(A) Timed practice
For timed practice, I would like to appeal to IP heads to consider non-alternative seating (no need to have one vacant seat between candidates) so that more students can do the timed practice at the same time and hence increase more timings for other more timed practice, especially in semester 1.
For semester 2, I can concur with the implementation of the national examination seating plan (with alternate vacant seats between candidates) to prepare our students for national examination.
The IP department will secure the use of computer laboratories/ ITRs for timed practice via RBS. Here is the seating plan template for your planning
(B) School-based e-assessment (oral, or e-written)
For the conduct of oral examination, please email HOD ICT at least 15 working days before the assessment date so that the ICT department can plan the movement of computers, in view of national oral examination, to support the assessment.
The email should have the details of the venue, venue layout for each computer station, number of computers and number of headset. Please do not liaise with NCS Desktop Engineers directly.
National Examination (Oral and e-written)
The IP heads to inform the respective SOE (which IP heads know) to notify the HOD ICT, via email, the name of E-supervisor, period of assessment, the requirement of candidate computers and E-supervisor ECS computer, E-sup operating venues and the assessment venues (with layout details) at least 10 working days before assessment period. This will help to facilitate the planning of the computer movement, manpower and supporting national coursework at the same period.
Please do not liaise with NCS Desktop Engineers directly as I would like to avoid the approval of DE's leave request and lead to a manpower crunch due to lack of information from the SOE. Here is the layout of the availability of working LAN points for all venues for SOE's reference.
