DAY 2 REFLECTION
DAY 2 REFLECTION
Conducted by : Dr. Mohd Faisal Farish Ishak
Through this unit, I gained a clearer understanding of how Project Based Learning (PBL) can make learning more meaningful and student-centred. I learned that PBL is not only about completing projects, but also about encouraging pupils to think critically, solve real-world problems, and work collaboratively with others. The discussions and examples shared during the course helped me realise that pupils become more engaged when they are given opportunities to explore topics creatively and take ownership of their learning. As a teacher, I feel more motivated to create lessons that are active, relevant, and connected to pupils’ daily lives.

This unit helped me understand the importance of careful planning in ensuring the success of a PBL lesson. I learned that every stage in the PBL cycle, from identifying learning goals to designing meaningful activities and assessments, plays a vital role in guiding pupils effectively. At first, the planning process seemed quite detailed and challenging, especially when trying to align the project with curriculum standards and pupils’ abilities. However, after exploring several examples and engaging in group discussions, I became more confident in structuring a project that is both achievable and impactful. I also realised that good planning can help teachers anticipate challenges and create a smoother learning experience for pupils.

From this unit, I discovered many useful digital tools that can support teaching and learning in a more interactive and creative way. I learned how digital platforms can be used not only to create attractive learning materials, but also to organise and share information effectively with pupils. Some tools were new to me, so I needed time to explore their functions and understand how they could be applied in the classroom. Nevertheless, I found the experience exciting because technology has the potential to increase pupils’ participation and motivation during lessons. This session also reminded me that teachers need to continuously improve their digital skills in order to keep up with the changing educational environment.
