Modern Classrooms Project Mentor Manual
MARC members will receive a pairing email containing the MIT's name and email address. (The Feedback Journal will be generated and emailed at the end of the first module.)
Mentor Academy Review Committee (MARC) members support Mentors-in-Training (MITs) throughout Mentor Academy. Like the Virtual Mentorship Program, reviewers will provide ongoing feedback and support for each of the three Mentor Academy submissions.
MITs will provide feedback on an elementary, middle, or high school submission. It is not required for a MARC reviewer to be a specific content or grade level expert to support the MIT; the MARCs goal is to identify areas of strength and growth in the MITs implementation and their ability to support mentees. Revisions may be necessary to ensure the MIT is ready to support others' implementation.
Committee members agree to:
review assigned mastery checks within two business days. If you anticipate a delay, please email the MIT and copy credentials@modernclassrooms.org.
provide timely, actionable feedback, and resources.
return any incomplete mastery checks, or any that can be improved, to Mentors-in-Training (MIT) for revision.
support MITs in the important work of becoming an MCP Expert Mentor.
connect with MCP staff when questions arise.
maintain updated scoring statuses and time entry submissions.
The Mentor Academy Feedback Journal:
