CAMELS HUMP MIDDLE SCHOOL MOUNTAINEERS
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” -Maya Angelou
We’re now heading into the third week of school, and things continue to go smoothly! Students are settling into their routines, classrooms are buzzing with learning, and the positive momentum is building each day. In addition, our sports teams kicked off their seasons with big wins across the board—Go Mountaineers!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you at Open House next week, where you'll get a glimpse into your student’s day and meet their teachers. After-school clubs will also be starting soon, and we’re excited to offer a variety of fun and enriching options for all interests.
Thanks for your continued support—it’s going to be a great year!

We want to share that there is a recent TikTok trend that has spread into many schools across the country including schools within the MMUU school district. The focus of the Tik Tok videos is the destroying of Chromebooks. We have started to see damage to devices due to students putting metal, pencils and other objects in their usb ports to try to catch them on fire. This Tik Tok challenge is described in this news article. This is also a serious safety concern. The smoke that is produced from tampering with ChromeBooks is highly toxic and very harmful. Willful damage to our devices cannot be repaired under our warranties. Any willful damages will be billed to families as noted in the school handbook. Students who engage in this type of activity will lose their ability to use a Chromebook at school for a period of time. We are asking families, in collaboration with the school, to speak to their students about the dangers and consequences of this challenge.
District guidelines remain in place - If you are sick, please stay home. If your child requires cold medicine, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen for an illness, they are not well enough to attend school.
Please keep them at home. Please read this link District Illness Guidelines
