Swallow class
Lesson 1 - Digital music
Swallow class listened to and compared music from The Planets by Gustav Holst. They used a musical description word bank to describe how this music generated emotions.
Below we have some fantastic work displayed!
Lesson 2 - Rhythms and patterns
Today in computing, Swallow class were introduced to the a fantastic software called Chrome Music Lab where they created a musical pattern. They identified that music is a sequence of notes and explained how music can be played in different ways.
Lesson 3 - How music can be used
Today, Swallow class created a musical pattern. They identified that music is a sequence of notes and explained how music can be played in different ways.
We continued to use The Chrome Music Lab - a fantastic software tool to create sound, beats, rhythms and more!
In this lesson, Swallow class developed their understanding of music. They used Chrome Music Lab to create and refine musical patterns. They identified that music is a sequence of notes and learnt that they can change how quickly or slowly music is played by using the ‘tempo’ tab.
Film week
What a joy film week was for Swallow class! We became actors and actresses, directors, costume designers and producers.
First, we watched a scene from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and identified the different shot types we could see.
Why don't you watch the video and identify the different shot types?
Q: What did you do during the lesson?
Q: Which shot type is your favourite?
