The difference between a job search engine and a job board can be confusing but these are the main things you should know.
A job board is a website that posts jobs supplied by specific employers. For example, Kroger. Their website lists jobs with Kroger Stores only. Kroger stores include Fred Meyer, QFC, Ralph's, and Food For Less to name a few.
Job search engines search the internet for jobs in a specific field, or with a specific company, or in your area. They aggregate job listings from job boards and employer websites.

What should you do with your login's and passwords to job boards?
Indeed and SimplyHired are two of the most popular job search engines, and they collect millions of listings on their platforms. (Indeed is both a job search engine and a job board.)
You will find a wider variety of job postings on job search engines because they contain listings from multiple sources. However, you may also have to look through duplicate listings and make sure the job vacancy is still available.
Also, targeting a broad job search can be difficult. If you search a big company, you might get hundreds, or even thousands, of results. Adding parameters such as location can help narrow the results.
