Your instructor will review O*NET with you and show you how to search for a particular occupation. You may use COVID-19 Related Industries and Occupations guide for assistance. You will then search for one occupation in those top market industries. After, you can share what you find regarding wages, education, job growth outlook.

Use one of the living wage calculators to find the living wage you need for your particular household. How does this match up with the job you searched on ONet?
The labor market is quickly evolving and can cause a lot of stress on individuals and families. Jobs that were easily attainable a month ago have been put on hold, which can create a strain on household resources. This class will offer an opportunity to meet your case manager and better understand support services that may be available to you, such as:
*Rental Assistance *Food Assistance *Childcare Resources *Help with utility payments *Domestic Violence Resources *Etc.
Also during your training you will meet your employment specialist who will assist you with understanding the current labor and job market in your area. With counties opening up in different phases, job search may look different than before this current pandemic. Your employment specialist will help with individual services and job search needs including:
