All children must have all the necessary protection against the following diseases before the child can attend school: diphtheria, polio, measles, rubella, mumps, Hib, PCV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, varicella, Tdap, and meningococcal. In addition, it is highly recommended that each student be vaccinated yearly for the prevention of Influenza. Please contact your family physician/clinic to make sure immunizations are up to date. Texas Education Code requires each student to be fully immunized against disease as required by the Texas DSHS.
For additional information, feel free to reach out to the Health Services Department at 956-323-5538
According to the education code, a student who is not fully immunized and has not begun the required immunizations may not attend school. When transferring from another school district in Texas, a student may be provisionally admitted for no more than 30 days pending receipt of immunization records.

Mission Lion’s Club
Mission CISD policy states that the district shall cooperate in a program to offer low-cost accident insurance for students. Students or parents would be responsible for paying the premium for the coverage, if they choose to participate. By declining the insurance offer or failing to respond to it, the parents/guardians are accepting full responsibility for costs associated with a student’s injury or injuries sustained while attending school or school-related functions with the exceptions of UIL, athletic, and covered non-sport extracurricular activities. More information is also available by calling 956-323-5683.
