The Mission CISD Child Nutrition Program is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to student's health, well-being, and ability to learn.
Our mission is to support the achievement of all students by expanding food access, serving healthy, tasty meals, and providing learning opportunities about nutrition, cultural foodways and the food system.
For additional information, feel free to reach out to the Child Nutrition Program at

All healthy meals served meet the USDA Dietary nutrition guidelines that all districts are required to follow. We strive to offer a balance of healthy versions of student favorites mixed with scratch-prepared dishes and global flavors.
We welcome suggestions for new recipes from members of our community and district employees.
Proper nutrition in the school-age years can reinforce lifelong eating habits that contribute to a student's overall well-being. This will help them to grow and learn to their fullest potential... and then go on to lead a long healthy life.

Our District has developed a Wellness Policy that is focused on improving the health of students. The policy was developed by the health and wellness advisory council that includes teachers, parents, administrators, and the district nurse.
