Welcome to Mission Consolidated Independent School District’s Educational Services. We are proud of the educational program we offer our students. They are challenged to excel in the core subject areas as well as participate in a variety of educational opportunities that address their creative interests, their physical development and their social needs.

Mission CISD offers a robust Gifted and Talented (GT) program. A gifted/talented student is a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who exhibits high-performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area; possesses an unusual capacity for leadership; or excels in a specific academic field. (Texas Education Code §29.121).
Mission CISD kicked off its Mission FARMERS Program in January 2021. The City of Mission has a rich tradition and history in Agricultural Science with much of its land in previous decades used to raise citrus that was exported to many areas around the country.
Mission CISD students have the opportunity to integrate hands-on learning through our innovative PreK-12th grade Mission FARMERS (Farmers, Agriculturists, Ranchers, Machinists, Engineers, Researchers, Suppliers) program.
Mission CISD currently operates three TEA-designated College and Career Readiness (CCRSM) school models that are partnered with South Texas College. These are open enrollment programs that blend high school and college coursework to help historically underserved and at-risk students develop technical skills, earn college credentials and degrees, and pursue in-demand career paths.
Because Mission CISD cares about the whole child, we have implemented “Capturing Kids’ Hearts” district-wide with all staff to address the social capacity, emotional capacity, and learning capacity of our students. The Capturing Kids’ Hearts approach focuses on social-emotional well-being through a relationship-driven culture, making connections with students. Mission CISD is a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase District
