These requests can come in different forms:
A request to match the back to the front. ‘I would like the front of my invitation to be in English and the back of my invitation to be in Dutch. Please be sure the design is the same on the back as it is on the front. The only difference should be the language.’
A request to match a previous order. ‘I previously placed an order for 100 invitations of this same design. They were in English. Please make sure this new order matches my previous order exactly. The only difference should be the language. This new order should be in French.’
The original design is on the right.
Here are the customer's design requests:
“I have already placed an order for this design, in English. This version needs to be in Danish. I really hope that all my orders for this design will be sent together at once. Maybe I can save some shipping money?”Previous order (in English)
Round 1 (in Danish)
The goal is to have both versions as identical as possible.
In this round, the DA did a great job of matching the Danish version to the previous order's English version.
The original design is on the left.
Here are the customer's design requests:
“Most of the guests from the groom's family only read/write Korean. Is it possible for us to incorporate that? We were hoping we could have a Korean translation written on the back of the invitation. However, the text editor does not seem to allow Korean letters. Is this something we could do?”The English version on the front of the card is on the right.
The customer will need to purchase a backer for the card so we can create the Korean version.
Also, the customer will need to provide us with an editable PDF or text file of the Korean text. (never rely on Google Translate or other translation services)
Round 1
For round 1, send the English version with no backer, and the QC can leave a note for the customer about the backer fee and the editable text file.
QC Note round 1:
Hello Baek,
Best wishes on your upcoming wedding!
I’d be happy to include your text in Korean to the back of your design. Please send an editable Word or .PDF file of your text to help@minted.com with the subject line “Please add this Korean text” and your order number.
Then, request a change to your proof and let us know how you would like your text formatted.
Our back-of-card printing comes to an additional fee of $35.06 for the quantity of cards you’ve purchased. This fee includes your 15% discount and any local taxes.
If you’d like to continue with back-of-card printing, please request a change and leave a note approving the fee. If you’re happy with your card as-is and would no longer like printing on the back of your card, simply approve your design for print.
Thank you for choosing Minted!
Round 2
The customer has approved the backer fee and sent in a text file with the Korean text.
The DA did a great job making the backer match the front of the invitation as closely as possible, while incorporating the customer's Korean text.
