Fintry is a retreat house with its own beautiful and extensive grounds, set in the Surrey hills. The atmosphere of the house and grounds has been maintained for nearly 70 years in order to promote philosophical and spiritual development. The majority of the rooms overlook the well-kept grounds with scenic views. Each room is beautifully decorated with original Art & Crafts movement furniture, paintings and tiles. Guests each have a small writing table and chair in the room for use during periods of personal or evening reflection.

We will have the whole space to ourselves, and the support of the dedicated and experienced Fintry Trust team who are familiar with running this type of retreat.

There are many snug areas to sit and reflect, hidden places where you can rest and restore, and an incredibly well stocked library. The Quiet Room (with the beautiful stained glass windows in the image below) can be used for silent personal practice and contemplation.

Guests have access to a small kitchen area at all times which has a kettle, fridges etc. if you need to prepare any extra drinks or snacks (available 24hrs).

Three twin rooms and seven single rooms are available. The bathrooms have recently been refurbished and are stylish, bright and modern (baths and showers available). Guests will be allocated to bathrooms on arrival to make sure sharing is easeful. Please note that pricing is per person, irrespective of room. Room allocation and choice is on a first come, first served basis.

Indoor & Outdoor Spaces

The grounds at Fintry are lovingly cared for and offer a variety of places and settings for wandering and contemplation. We will use the grounds are part of our explorations.
