Day in the Life Series
As the kickoff to our "Day in the Life" series, we’re featuring responsible students and how they manage their academic and extracurricular commitments. We all face challenges when it comes to balancing work, and sometimes, a little inspiration is all we need. By sharing these students' routines, we hope you’ll gain valuable tips and insights that can help you better manage your own busy schedule.
To start off the series we gathered information from two 6th grade students about things they need to accomplish to not have a stressful schedule. Nat Cranmer and Chase Perrone, who are members of Hermes Horizon made a list about how to manage these problems.
Manage distractions.
Make a list of goals.
Make a schedule that works for you.
Check the school homework calendar to see if things are due.
Know that it is ok to say no.
Don’t give yourself too much work at a time.
Have all of your materials for your work in one place.
It’s okay to ask for help when doing work and aren’t sure about something.
Avoid procrastinating and don’t leave all your assignments for when they’re due.
Take some time to prioritize yourself when you're feeling overwhelmed.
