Our Sewing Box for the Future ‘recipe cards’ can be used to teach pupils skills such as sewing on a button or darning a hole. The practical nature of the learning can a fun way to learn, and is adaptable for ages/stages. Make Bank have stories available their website to inspire and educate, as well as having kits available for pupils in certain circumstances. The stories, and information on the kits and how to apply can be found on their website https://www.themakebank.org.uk/
Daydream Believers has a bank of free resources linked to the creative industries. The 50-minute lessons focus on problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking skills. Our friends at V&A Museum South Kensington have several resources for use in both Primary and Secondary sectors available for download on their website. Although linked to the English curriculum, many aspects of the lessons are transferable to BGE and can be used and adapted as necessary.
