Field Trips & Career Exploration Events - There are a number of field trips and career learning events coming up over the next few months. You can see them in the calendar above OR you can go to SchooLinks. Registration for students will be in SchooLinks or parents can email me (emmons_e@milfordschools.org) if they would like their student to participate. Some events will be off site at businesses or conference centers. Other events will be held at the high school!
SchooLinks - Students and parents/guardians all have access to SchooLinks now. Students access it through Clever and Parents/Guardians can follow these on-boarding instructions. Access to-do lists, event registration, diploma seal and experience tracking and more! More information about parent & guardian accounts here.

Real World Toolkit - Senior Workshop #1 - Thursday, 10/29 (Flex), we will be hosting our first senior workshop: Building Your Personal Brand in the auditorium. If you are not able to attend, we have a virtual workshop available in SchooLinks Learning Hub.
Career Exploration Field Trips & Events - There are a number of field trips and career learning events coming up over the next few months. You can see them in the calendar above OR you can go to SchooLinks. Registration for students will be in SchooLinks or parents can email me (emmons_e@milfordschools.org) if they would like their student to participate. Some events will be off site at businesses or conference centers. Other events will be held at the high school!
Monthly Senior Workshops - Seniors will participate in monthly work readiness workshops throughout the school year. September will be focused on "Who Are You?" and the elevator speech.
How-To College App Videos & Bootcamp - As seniors begin the college application process, we highly recommend reviewing the College App Videos which walk students through each step of the process. Also, check out the College Application Bootcamp Presentation and the Milford Counseling - College Application Resources Page for more information.
College Application Workshops - Workshops are held every other week during Flex. Sign up in SchooLinks. These workshops are designed for students who need help with individual questions regarding the application or the application process.
College Webinar Series -- See attachment. The next one is September 9 - and will discuss how "demonstrated interest" plays a role in college admissions.
College Visits - UC is visiting regularly right now. Other universities are also starting spring visits. Sign up in SmartPass or SchooLinks - How-To SchooLinks - Register for Event. Other schools are also scheduling visits. We have more added every day.

Great Oaks - This year, we will be spending some time helping students understand and assess the possibility of attending career technical education at an Oaks campus. We will have presentations and field trips. We highly recommend that students complete the "Would You Rather" assessment in SchooLinks and start looking which offered programs at Great Oaks might fit their goals!.

SchooLinks & YouScience - Our goal for freshmen is to use this as a year of self-discovery. We have many tools available to help students do this.
SchooLinks has a variety of self-discovery assessments (Instructions)
YouScience will be given to all 9th graders and measures not only interest, but abilities and potential as well.
Students can start in SchooLinks any time. YouScience sessions will be scheduled throughout the year.
