Explore PD Academy hosted by several local Police Departments is an opportunity to learn more about careers in public safety and service. Students will get to experience fingerprinting/crime scene investigating, shooting a taser, self-defense, search warrants, mock traffic stops, Police K-9 demo, marksmanship, and more! UC Medical Sciences Summer Institute

UC has a created a summer program for students interested in careers in medicine, or other healthcare related fields, and wish to gain some experience in medical research in a state-of-the art laboratory. Students will learn to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, analyze data and communicate their conclusions at a research symposium at the end of the course. Learn more HERE and HERE.

At the Ohio Business Week summer business camp, today’s business professionals prepare tomorrow’s leaders for success! OBW gives eligible Ohio high school students a unique, hands-on experience with business and entrepreneurship. Hosted on the campus of Bowling Green State University June 18-23, 2023, the exciting week-long summer program brings a diverse group of young people and business professionals together to create a simulated business startup.
Under the mentorship of a business leader who serves as a “company advisor”, each group elect’s company officers and then brainstorms ideas for a hypothetical business venture. After deciding on an idea, each company creates a comprehensive business plan including marketing and financials. They create a branding and social media strategy and even a video commercial to sell the idea.
The week culminates with each group giving a final presentation of their idea to a panel of judges. Students are recognized and rewarded for their hard work and performance at the programs closing ceremonies.

3 programs - Check out these different programs offered through TAP Health- The TAP Health Summer Academy is a group of career exploration programs consisting of TAP MD; TAP RN: Diversity; and TAP HC – programs which respectively help guide students through the ins & outs of seeking a career as a physician, registered nurse, or any career within the broad spectrum of healthcare. https://workforce.healthcollab.org/students/. SHE Program (Summer Healthcare in Oncology)

- The Summer Health Care Experience (SHE) Program at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center is sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS) and seeks to increase the participation of women in biomedical fields, especially cancer research and medicine. The SHE program provides a 2-week virtual experience for young women who are currently in their freshman and sophomore years of high school. The program will include a series of virtual workshops, panels, and hands on research activities, with science research kits which will be sent directly to the participant’s home. Learn More HERE.

Multiple Sessions June 2024
AI Scholars Live Online is a 10 session (25-hour) artificial intelligence bootcamp that exposes high school students to fundamental Artificial Intelligence concepts and guides them to build a socially impactful project. Taught by our team of graduate students from Stanford, MIT, and more, students receive a personalized learning experience in small groups with a student-teacher ratio of 5:1. As part of the program, students undertake guided scientific projects and engage in scientific inquiries. Further, students have the opportunity to present their research findings at scientific symposiums and competitions, offering them a taste of the real-world impact their work can have.
Age: 14-18 years. Students aspiring for a career in Medicine or biomedical field. We recommend the courses for high school students as the topics are very relevant extensions to biology and AP biology that they learn as part of their school curriculum.
We do accept some exceptional middle school students who are motivated and driven. Therefore we emphasise, tell us your story and about your interest in your statement of purpose.
No prior coursework required: Our highly experienced instructors introduce the topics before diving into complexity of subjects.
