College planning events @ Milford High school
College Application Bootcamp: Prior to the start of each school year- Seniors are invited to register to receive help with college applications. The event will take place over the course of three days. We will go over the Common Application, individual school applications, essay writing and revision, and individualized help with the process. Make sure that you are ahead of the game by attending this free 3-day workshop! Registration invitations will go out via email in May and July prior to the bootcamp.
College 101: College 101 is the largest college event of the year at Milford HS. At this event, you will be able to attend financial aid presentations, college admissions rep presentations, plus have the opportunity to meet with the reps themselves in a college fair setting. This is a great way to make a connection with the admissions office and get your name on their radar! This event takes place at the end of August or early September.
FAFSA Night: December. This event for seniors and their parents helps families learn all about how to complete the FAFSA for college financial aid and scholarships.
College Application Workshops: Several times through September, October, and November, the senior counselor and Mrs. Emmons will host college application help sessions after school. Keep an eye on your school email for more details.
