The FIRST WORDS® Project is a longitudinal research initiative focused on identifying early signs of developmental language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other communication delays in children under 24 months. The project aims to promote earlier detection of communication disorders and access to intervention services sooner by improving early screening tools and leveraging the family role in the identification process.
