Ramadan Mubarak- March 3
The blessed month of Ramdan is upon us. School will start promptly at 9:00 A.M. and end at 3:30 P.M. during Ramdan. The Ramadan schedule went into effect Monday, March 3, 2025 until March 21, 2025. Students arriving late to school (without a legitimate excuse) will not be permitted to attend first-period class. We have already delayed the school start time to accommodate our fasting students. Therefore, we cannot excuse late arrivals past 9:00 a.m. as this interrupts student learning.
Book Fair- Extended Until Tonight!
In response to parent requests, we will extend the Book Fair until the end of the day today. Parents are welcome to visit the Book Fair beginning at 6:00 pm.
Ramadan Fundraising Iftar - Today, March 16
Today is our Ramadan Fundraising Iftar! There will be no active fundraising speaker but we will have some student performances. Students will be entertained separately from adults. Cirque Amongus will provide entertainment for children up to grade 6. Upper Elementary and MS/HS students will inspire us with beautiful Ramadan Nasheed. Onsite Tarweeh available at MCA. Wayne Tree Manor (zabiha certified) and Cravings will cater dinner and dessert. We cannot wait for you and your family to join us in what will be a memorable and spiritually uplifting evening!
All students registered for the Iftar are kindly asked to dress in cultural attire. We want this event to showcase that cultural diversity is central to our school's identity.
High school volunteers for the event are required to arrive by 6:00 p.m. Elementary and middle school students performing are required to arrive by 6:30 p.m. and report to the Computer Lab.
Please message Sr. Alisa at (815) 501-1479 with any questions.
Eid / Spring Break- March 24- April 6
Our Eid/ Spring Break will start on March 24th and end on April 6th. We hope you all have an amazing and blessed Eid. Classes will resume on April 6th. We will return to our regular school schedule at this time, where students arrive by 8:20 am and classes begin promptly at 8:30 am. To avoid unnecessary classroom disruption and encourage punctuality, we will continue our Ramadan late policy for MS/HS students throughout the year. Any students arriving at 8:30 am or later will not be admitted to their first-period class without a valid excuse, as reported to the Main Office by a parent. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
