Annual Gathering and Fundraising Dinner

Jazakhallah khair to the teachers, students and parents for putting together an amazing event. The hard work did not go unnoticed and we applaud you all for doing a fantastic job. We hope everyone enjoyed the Qur'an recitations, nasheeds and plays. 

Code {313} Field Trip - Dec 3 (HS) Dec 5 (MS)

On December 3rd, grades 9-11 will attend a field trip to Code{313} in Detroit and on December 5th, grades 6-8 will attend Code{313}. Code{313} is a STEM. org accredited non-profit organization. Students will engage in multiple activities to explore cutting edge technologies including drones, virtual reality, augmented reality and robotics. Transportation will be provided by MIA, students will travel in buses.  Students will be charged $15 to cover the cost of lunch, entry and part of the transportation ( the PTO will be assisting with the rest). High school will attend on December 3rd from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM and students will report to prayer upon arrival to MIA around 2:00 P.M. and will attend 7th period. Middle school will attend on December 5th from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM and students will report to prayer upon arrival to MIA around 2:00 P.M. and will attend 7th period. Lunch will be provided courtesy of Code{313}, vegetarian and halal options will be available but students may also choose to bring their own lunch. The deadline to register is November 25! Casual Wednesdays-December 4th and December 11th 

Casual Wednesdays are coming back on December 4th and December 11th for all grades! Please note the casual dress policy: The dress code permitted on Friday is also allowed on casual days. In addition to Friday dress guidelines, boys can wear loose-fitting jeans and a non-collar shirt. Sweatpants, joggers, and t-shirts with characters are not permitted. Girls can wear wide-legged jeans with loose shirts below the knee or under the abaya. All scarves shall be closed with pins/magnets. No ankle socks are permitted.

Good Eats, Great Cause- December 13

On December 13, buy a meal from Burger One and a portion of the sales will be donated to MIA. Order in person from 11 A.M. to 10 P.M. Address for Burger One is 1771 Plymouth Road, Ste 102, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Please share with friends and family members, you will not have to mention you are from the MCA/ MIA community as all sales from December 13th will be donated to MIA!

Join the PTO! *New Position* - Field Service Representative 

Are you looking to create a change within the school? The PTO is looking for a Field Service Representative who can:

1. Manage the school's vending machine with the help of PTO

2. Ordering, transporting and stocking the vending machine 2-3 times a week based on student and SGO feedback, vending machine is loaded by another volunteer throughout the week. 

3. Troubleshooting minor issues with the vending machine

4. Coordinate additional snack/drink sales (Events)

5. Working with PTO on other ongoing initiatives 

6. Volunteer hours will be covered in full for the year
