PTO's Ask Me Anything- December 10th

Join the PTO team virtually on Tuesday, December 10th at 6 PM for our first ever Ask Me Anything event. No questions are off limits! You want to know how much income was generated through which PTO event? How have we spent our earnings? What is our favorite season? (we assume nobody cares about that last question). This will also be an opportunity for you to share feedback. What would you want to see more of at school? Is there a new club you think can benefit our students? We’d love to hear about it.

Casual Wednesdays-December 4th and December 11th

Casual Wednesdays are coming back on December 4th and December 11th for all grades! Please note the casual dress policy: The dress code permitted on Friday is also allowed on casual days. In addition to Friday dress guidelines, boys can wear loose-fitting jeans and a non-collar shirt. Sweatpants, joggers, and t-shirts with characters are not permitted. Girls can wear wide-legged jeans with loose shirts below the knee or under the abaya. All scarves shall be closed with pins/magnets. No ankle socks are permitted.

Bake Sale- December 12th

Thursday, December 12th we will be having our bake sale! We will be serving cookies, frosted pumpkin bread, and hot chocolate, served with either whipped cream or marshmallows! Pre-orders are open until Monday Dec, 9th at 11:59 P.M.! If you pre-order hot chocolate, please comment if your child would like whipped cream or marshmallows! Link to pre-order:

Good Eats, Great Cause- December 13th

On December 13th, buy a meal from Burger One and a portion of the sales will be donated to MIA. Order in person from 11 A.M. to 10 P.M. Address for Burger One is 1771 Plymouth Road, Ste 102, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Please share with friends and family members, you will not have to mention you are from the MCA/ MIA community as all sales from December 13th will be donated to MIA!

Onsite Technology Fair (Grades 2-5)- December 16th

Students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be attending an onsite Technology Fair hosted by CODE {313} at MIA. CODE{313} is a STEM.org Accredited non-profit organization with a mission to provide equitable access to STEAM education. CODE{313}’s programs align with state and national educational standards (CSTA, ISTE, K12CS, Common Core State Standards Initiative, and Next Generation Science Standards). Students will engage in several activities to explore cutting edge technologies, including drones, virtual reality, augmented reality and robotics.
